Welcome to the Sheriff's Office West Valley Division page. Our Cupertino-based substation serves the community with 87 dedicated personnel. The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, West Valley Division, provides law enforcement services to Cupertino, Saratoga, Los Altos Hills, Moffett, and unincorporated western Santa Clara County. They also contract with the Santa Clara County Superior Court, Valley Transportation Authority, and County Parks Department. The Sheriff's Office has 1,429 sworn personnel across various divisions.
In Cupertino, 28 deputies are allocated:
- 4 for traffic enforcement (3 on motorcycles, 1 in a patrol car)
- 2 School Resource Officers for the City's 14 schools
- 1 deputy handling school-related incidents
- 21 deputies performing 24/7 routine patrol
