Current General Plan
The General Plan is a State-mandated document and provides the vision for Cupertino’s future. It sets the City’s policy direction in a number of areas including land use, mobility, housing, open space, infrastructure, public health and safety, and sustainability through specific goals, policies and strategies.

Reflects amendments adopted by the following City Council resolutions:
Resolution No. 24-039 - Adopted the 2023-2031 Housing Element (Chapter 4 and Appendix B), modified Chapters 3 (Land Use and Community Character), 5 (Mobility), Appendix A (Land Use Definitions), and the General Plan Land Use Map related to heights and densities needed to implement Housing Element, added a new Appendix G (Environmental Assessment) and made internal consistency edits in Chapter 2 (Planning Areas) (adopted May 14, 2024)
