The Community Development Department (CDD) is responsible for improving the quality of life, welfare, and economic opportunities in a community by providing advanced planning, development review, compliance with building and zoning codes, permitting, inspection services, code enforcement, achieving economic development goals, advancing the City's General Plan and other citywide initiatives, and administration of programs related to affordable housing. CDD works to balance the needs of residents, businesses, property owners, and provides technical and policy support to the City Manager and other City Departments.

Holiday Schedule for Permit Center and City Hall Services
Permit Center:
The Permit Center will offer virtual services to members of the public on Monday, December 23rd, 2024. The City Hall lobby will remain open for walk-ins. However, in-person services will only be available by appointment on that day.
City Hall Services:
In observance of the Winter Holiday, all City Hall services will be closed from Tuesday, December 24th, 2024, through Wednesday, January 1st, 2025. Normal operating schedule for counter services at the Permit Center will resume on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025.
