The Jollyman Park and Linda Vista Park Dog Off-Leash Areas (DOLAs) offer a great place for your fur friend to run and meet other dogs during designated times only.

We strive to offer opportunities for everyone to get out and play, including your dogs! The City of Cupertino has one enclosed Dog Park and two Dog Off-Leash Areas (DOLAs) for your fur friends to run and meet other dogs. All dogs are required to be on a leash while not inside the Dog Park or a DOLA during designated times.

Mary Avenue Dog Park

The Mary Avenue Dog Park offers an enclosed space for dogs to run off-leash. The park has two separate fenced areas, one for small dogs less than 25 pounds and one for large dogs over 25 pounds. Dogs are only allowed to be off-leash within the Dog Park and must be on a six-foot leash outside the park and at all other City of Cupertino parks. Owners who fail to comply may be subject to administrative citation.

Dog Park and DOLA Rules

Dog Park and DOLA Rules 

Dog owners are required to follow the City's rules for off-leash use during DOLA designated hours and the Dog Park, including:

  • Dogs must have current licenses and vaccinations [C.M.C. 8.03.050]

    • Licenses must be on the dog’s collar

    • Collar must be on the dog

  • All dogs must be on leash at all times except when in the designated DOLA during permitted times or the Dog Park [C.M.C. 13.04.130]

  • Respect other park users

    • Stop bothersome behavior immediately

    • Owners are responsible for proper disposal of trash [C.M.C. 13.04.140]

  • Owners must be in control of their dogs at all times

    • Dogs with known history of dangerous behavior are not allowed

    • Leaving dogs unsupervised is prohibited

    • Limit of two (2) dogs per person at any one time

    • Dog handlers must be 16 yrs. of age or older. Any person under 16 in the off-leash area must be accompanied by a person 18 yrs. or older

  • Cleaning up after your dog is mandatory

  • Consumption of food and the use of glass containers not allowed during DOLA hours or in the Dog Park

  • Dogs in heat are not allowed

  • Puppies less than four months of age not allowed

  • Owners must provide their own drinking bowls

  • Owners must stop their dogs from digging and fill any holes caused by their dogs

Owners are legally responsible and liable for the action of their dogs including injuries, or damage caused by their dogs. The City of Cupertino assumes no liability arising from the DOLA or Dog Park.
