SV Hopper Grant Funding Update

We’re pleased to announce that the City has received a reimbursement check of $1.131 million from the State of California for Year 1 of the Silicon Valley Hopper Santa Clara expansion. This marks the first check from our successful $8.465 million Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program (TIRCP) grant, which will support 50% of the SV Hopper shuttle expansion from FY23-24 through FY26-27. 

Additionally, in collaboration with the City of Santa Clara, we’re proud to have secured $500,000 from the Transportation Fund for Clean Air Program, managed by the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA). This funding is designated for the third year of the SV Hopper program (FY25-26), and the City of Cupertino and Santa Clara will share this award in line with our cost-sharing agreement. These developments not only enhance public transit offerings but also underscore our commitment to sustainable transportation in the region.
