As the new school year begins, the City of Cupertino is thrilled to welcome the fresh faces joining the Teen Commission and Youth Activity Board (YAB). These passionate young leaders are at the heart of youth-driven initiatives, fostering community growth and development.
Teen Commission: Nurturing Future Leaders
On Wednesday, August 14, Cupertino welcomed its newest members to the Teen Commission. This dynamic group of nine individuals plays a critical role in advising the Cupertino City Council, working closely with city staff, and supporting youth-led organizations throughout the community.

Youth Activity Board (YAB): Empowering Teens for Success
On Wednesday, August 7, the City welcomed the latest additions to the Youth Activity Board (YAB). Since its inception in 2018, YAB has been a transformative force for Cupertino’s teens. Comprised of 13 dedicated volunteers, YAB is committed to addressing teen stress, fostering creativity, and building a stronger, more vibrant community. They’ve brought life to events like Cupertino Café, Hack Cupertino, Teen Speaker Series, and Pizza and Politics .
