This past Saturday, January 18, the Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department and the Cupertino Youth Activity Board hosted the City's annual Spelling Bee—and what an event it was!

Thirty-five talented second- to fifth-grade students showed their impressive spelling skills in this exciting competition. A huge congratulations to our outstanding winners.

2nd/3rd Grade Category

  • Winner: Saisha Jhanb with the word "Capitalize"
  • Runner-up: Vihaan Dora

4th/5th Grade Category

  • Winner: Valentina Chen with the word "Individualize"
  • Runner-up: Nandini Nagarajan

The competition was exciting, with Saisha claiming victory after 18 rounds and Valentina triumphing after 13 rounds.

A big shoutout to all the participants—you're all spelling superstars!
